Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Mamamia journal is where I record my breast cancer journey and the things helping me improve every area of my life.

Pacific Grove, March 2018

Pacific Grove, March 2018

To celebrate Jia's birthday, we went to Pacific Grove for a weekend getaway. We have been to Monterey many times. But this is the first time we stayed in Pacific Grove. It is actually an interesting little town and even though it rained here and then, we had great fun.

We really enjoyed the airbnb we stayed. If you want to know about it, please contact me.

The restaurants we tried and would recommend:

  • Passion Fish - It is on the high end side and the food was really really good. Very good pick to celebrate Jia's birthday. And they welcome kids too.

  • Pavel’s bakery - definitely a local must try - so many locals came here for breakfast. Their bacon sandwich is VERY delicious - I am not a sandwich person and totally fall in love with it.

  • Red House Cafe - home cooking style and portion is good.

And any trip won't go without playgrounds hopping ever after Caius turned one. And there are quite a few activities that are kids friendly in the neighborhood.

  • Dennis the Menace playground - it is big and quite a lot of different activities.

  • Caledonia Park

  • Lovers Point Park

  • Monterey Aquarium & Cannery Row

  • 17 Mile Drive

  • Asilomar Beach - coastal walk to watch sea otter and harbor seals play
